I feel really lost. What can I do?

Going to grad school in English is probably as waste of your time. There are far, far more people with PhDs who want to teach English than there are jobs for them. Every job posting gets hundreds of applicants. Even graduates from top ivy league PhD programs can't get jobs in academia these days. Go see if you can get a job acting instead - chances of making it big certainly aren't any better, but you'll be having more fun and won't be going into debt while you're doing it.
