Broke down today and started crying?
I have no close friends at school. I'll sit at a lunch table and start warming up a conversation, and people just look at me either smile or shake their heads. Sort of irritating. But one place I do have close friends is on the bus. I have a best friend and some other friends but I had certain problems today. Here's the reasons why I broke down. Firstly, I just moved to a new city (still the same state) I moved at the beginning of the year. I've been very homesick. Secondly, I was the last one on the bus today, and I didn't get a good seat so I decided to sit in an open seat and this guy was like "No" and before I could even say a word he grabbed me by the hood and pulled me out of the seat. I was scared, he's a ***** anyways. Thirdly, I won't get to see my close friends next year so I was thinking of making a scrap book and I actually made it, this guy went and bought one and put a lot of stickers and glitter on the front, he stole my idea and he got to use his scrapbook over mine. Fourth, I remembered about this year sitting at a table alone eating lunch and I cracked. I couldn't take it no more. So I just sat in a seat alone holding back the tears and I just couldn't I cried the whole bus ride. But many people were showing me attention. I kept trying to hold back the tears but no, god made them come out. What can I do? Should I just ignore all those people/things that made me cry? (I'm asking what should I do about those things on the bus that happened today. And how can I get close friends in classes?)

I am 16, I am 5'2" 100lbs, black, I love video games, art, rock music, I dress reserved, I am nice to everyone (including mean people), I am outgoing/quiet sometimes, and I am confident. I have seen guys in my school check me out but nothing happens. So what is up with these guys? Or me? It seems like I can only be an acquaintance to most of them. I am no one special just a 17 year old male who plans on attending art school. I love many things ranging from video games, anime(dragonball z specifically) photography and animals. I have always been a kind person. Every person has their bad moments, im human I am not perfect I have flipped out before and gotten angry..But i am merciful and wouldn't harm anyone. When I was kid growing up I had an issue of being lied to by some people(not my parents). I was always told at the age of 9 to avoid gay people. I was told that they live a dirty, unhealthy and sinful life style(hell im not even religious) moving onto the point before I was told such a thing I had a natural fear of gay people from within. It was just there no explanation and i still have it right now. at age 11 it was the time when i instinctively became curious about male attraction and despite my fear I often didn't think about it because i was a naive child. now over the years I have had two girlfriends who I actually found sexy and appealing. This is also during the time I had a boy crush, he was a junior at the time when I was a freshmen, this time I became nervous, afraid, doubtful and couldn't believe I began to have these feelings. When I have gay urges I feel like I am being controlled by another being. I don't welcome it because of my natural fear that i might be gay or bi. Recently I have had dreams where gay people are saying"how dare you brandon. do you know how lucky you are to live in your pool of luxury. You could have been a somolion, you could have been a solider who had his limb hacked off and sold at a meat cart." It got to me, I feel guilty due to my kind nature and feel hypocritical because i truly am not accepting of gays and think i may have been one all along. I just don't know if i could live with it. I wanted to marry a woman and have children but that seems impossible now.

Music school for music production. where should i go?
i want to go to school for music production, i was looking at SAE in San Francisco or La, then i was looking at Institute of Audio Research IAR in New York, but i dont know which one is better. i was looking at SAE because its closer, Im from Salt lake City, Utah... one thing that gets me is that i never made a beat before and i want to learn how to make them, i might take piano lessons some time. do you guys think its better if i learn how to make beats with hardware as in MPC, keyboards etc. first then go to the open house at the school, or still try to know how to make beats. because im having a hard time knowing what to do. How good are the Associates Programs in Pratt Institute NY?
I'm thinking of getting my 2nd degree. I already have a BA in History and I want to take painting or illustration but I don't think that I need another Bachelor's (also to reduce costs). I'm thinking of getting a 2-year Associates degree in art instead. Pratt Institute caught my attention but the tuition is expensive. Is it any better than the Associates offered in other schools like community colleges? I'm thinking there must be something there that justifies the cost of the program.
Is the creationist position intellectually honest?
I've seen hundreds of evolution vs creationist questions on here but it boils down to be asking the intellectual honesty of some of those positions. There are those that teach the creationist viewpoint that take the positions that radiometric decay rates are not constant, no transitional fossils (not arguing whether this meaningful just stating it), various positions and papers the Institute for Creation Research publishes--all attempting to use reason and rational thought to disprove the concept of evolutionary biology. All well and fine--this is part of the scientific method--objections are raised--these can be falsified or not. Having said that the creationist then will not apply the same logical reasoning skills and methodology to a book he claims is the inspired literal word of his deity. If we examine that premise with intellectual honesty-it should be relatively simple to strengthen or weaken the position. The epic of gilgamesh predates the biblical noah story by over a thousand years, the king sargon myth predates the story of moses by over a thousand years, the babylonian creation myth of gods creating men from the clay of the earth predates genesis--we find most of the ten commandments in the egyptian book of the dead--and we find that many of the spectacular bible events have no historical/archeological support. It seems odd that a deity wouldn't write an original book--so the fact that these stories predate the bible and the bible stories sound suspiciously like they were taken from them--at least like the no transitional fossils idea should be suffiecent to make one question not whether there is a god--but whether the book is literal or not literal. However logical reasoning is thrown out the window in this arena--isn't that the epitomy of intellectual dishonesty? Picking and choosing? Serious question. Wouldnt creationists be better off simply saying I don't care is found nor what the explanation is--my blind faith tells me this book is true. The point is--isn't it dishonest to use logic and reason to poke holes in evolutionary biology--but forego using that same logic and reason to evaluate their own bible faith?

What make-up brand sells the best glitter eyeshadow?
I love glitter too, and I find that just patting some over your eyeshadow with a brush really enhances the look. Urban decay has a few stardust eyeshadows that are awesome, but don't worry about picking out a colour because they aren't very pigmented, just very glittery, but they don't get fall out all over your face. Also urban decay eyeshadows like midnight cowboy, and uzi have a tons of huge glitter, that does fall out. I like my Tarina Tarintino Sparklicity pure powder- I think it's called. It's supposed to be used on your body, but I use it on my eyelids, and it is awesome. There is also one by tarina tarintino that is a spray bottle, but it is over 50 dollars where I live. so my friend signed me up for sculpture making for winter carnival so I have my base and back drop done. I found an old CD and put glitter on it and then I cut up some note card and put them in a over lapping design and put "50's" on it with blue glitter. my dad is out getting me clay and water color. I made sure the clay was air dry so I will not have to stay up all night using the oven. One problem it's due tomorrow. I thought I had the whole weekend but she texted me saying "Can't wait to see it tomorrow" So should I go with my original plan doing a 1950's pin up girl on a 1950's thunderbird car or should I do a simple diner scene since it will take me like 2 hours to do everything and then another hour to paint? also can I use paint on undried clay?

Some universities, inaddition to having classes also do have videos of lectures that they post on iTunes as they have an agreement with iTunes. My university does that but it's fairly new so it's not for all courses offered at the university. Some professors, on their own, use youtube to post recordings of the lectures...so I think it really does depend on how the professor/university believe is the best way for their students to learn...ultimately going to class and attending does force you to listen and take notes which does get some of the material stuck in your head...
Question of NJ statewide Transfer Agreement?
For those familiar with the NJ statewide transfer agreement... I would get a liberal arts degree at my community college( Liberal Arts Business). And then I would transfer to Rutgers Business School New Brunswick for Accounting. But does Rutgers only offer the BS in accounting? I don't know if I can get a BA at rutgers or not. The law said you need you can transfer only as AA to BA or AS to BS.

Don't capitalize letters for questions unless you're starting a new sentence. Not sure how long this supposed to be, but a few sentences don't really answer your questions. Telescope primary mirrors are measured in meters, not feet (and 'I think' doesn't belong in a research paper - look it up). You do not use telescopes to observe meteors. You can't point them fast enough.

My nails turned yellow after using Milani glitter nail polish.?
This is the first time ever that my nails turned yellow. I always use a base coat, and this time was no different. I used the glitter twice--once on my Christmas nail design with Christmas trees and Christmas presents. Most of my nails had different designs, so I only used the glitter on a few spots on a few nails, and when I took my nail polish off, only those spots were yellow. I thought that maybe it was just the first time, and my nails weren't used to it. So, I tried the glitter, again. This time, I had purple French manicures with the glitter at the tips. On one nail, I tried the glitter on the entire nail, just to see how it looked. Now, the tips of my nails are all yellow, and that one nail is all yellow. Only the parts of my nail that had glitter on them are yellow, so it's definitely the glitter. Why did my nails turn yellow after using this nail polish that is apparently a good brand and cost a little extra money? And how do I get rid of the yellow? I'm thinking about buffing my nails tonight, but is there anything else I can do?

I know this question has been asked a million times but oh well.... I am a 16 year old girl who has never had a boyfriend, or been asked out. You may need to take evening classes to make up for the deficiences in your education before you can pass the GED. In martial arts, what is more important to train for? Endurance or Power?
I traim MMA in both catagories. U don't have to lift weights to make yourself strong for fighting. I'm not saying don't use them but I lean more in using dumbells but I do pushups crunchs pullup and such. It is much more important to develop core muscles so that they work in sync. Once u have that down then hit the weights. U don't use weights to increase endurance in the ring. U need to do circuit training with the kind of excercise above. And u need to run your *** off. Both long distance and speed running. Also strength doesn't mean speed at all. Speed is speed and strength is strength. They play together and assist each other but they are separate amd trained seperatly. Do u have a trainer? If not get one lomg enough to teach u the basics of body development for fighting.

Going to grad school in English is probably as waste of your time. There are far, far more people with PhDs who want to teach English than there are jobs for them. Every job posting gets hundreds of applicants. Even graduates from top ivy league PhD programs can't get jobs in academia these days. Go see if you can get a job acting instead - chances of making it big certainly aren't any better, but you'll be having more fun and won't be going into debt while you're doing it.

Why do Atheists try to sound literate or smart when asked about god?
I see so many questions asked about if God exists, and they tend to give theoretical or scientific answers along with bashing the existence as far as they can. If you need clues about his existence, if all matter just appeared one day..how could that happen? What matter would be there to appear? Could something come from nothing? Isn't it obvious that a higher being had to create? They say it all just appeared. If that's believable then why isn't the existence of God believable? The ocean, the sky, storms, art, anything here on earth and anywhere in the universe. Do you really believe it could just appear at this level? Science can't figure out everything, no way no how. God created everything NOT man. And man did not create God. Such a significant thing such as the Bible wasn't created by just one man. So how could God be created by man?

im logical and i make good grades but i know i could never be a doctor or a lawyer or something like that. im more of a creative thinker. head of the broadcasting team, succeed in art, awesome in theater. you know that is my department, but are there really that many well paying jobs within those fields??? jobs like: advertising and directing and those things appeal to me. random things, like poster designers! all though i dont think poster designers are in demand at the moment...

I've been ignoring this girl for nearly one month. She tells all her friends that she has a crush on me, and through them she tries to force me to date her. Yesterday was Valentine's Day. She made me a card consisting of glitters and some gothic-looking stuff. Made me a poem. Through that poem she was basically telling me if I don't give "love" a chance...and some other stuff. I don't know. She's not getting the message. Ignoring her completely doesn't seem to do the trick. This is nothing personal. I'm in year 12 (final year of high school) and I need to finish in the top 7% in the state to get into the Commerce/Arts course I want to do, but I can't seem to do enough work. Whenever I sit down to study I'd much rather watch a DVD than study, and by the time I've watched 3 eps of big bang theory or whatever its only 1-2 hours before i gotta go to bed. I was going to possibly apply for an Editor position though, which would look great on college applications. I don't know if I should leave Journalism? I thought instead I could take art. Basically things a stylist needs to know. I have no desire to be a writer. I just feel like I have a lot invested in Journalism, and that an Editor position could help me get into my dream college. I love many things ranging from video games, anime(dragonball z specifically) photography and animals. I have always been a kind person. Every person has their bad moments, im human I am not perfect I have flipped out before and gotten angry..But i am merciful and wouldn't harm anyone. When I was kid growing up I had an issue of being lied to by some people(not my parents). I was always told at the age of 9 to avoid gay people. I was told that they live a dirty, unhealthy and sinful life style(hell im not even religious) moving onto the point before I was told such a thing I had a natural fear of gay people from within. It was just there no explanation and i still have it right now. at age 11 it was the time when i instinctively became curious about male attraction and despite my fear I often didn't think about it because i was a naive child. now over the years I have had two girlfriends who I actually found sexy and appealing. This is also during the time I had a boy crush, he was a junior at the time when I was a freshmen, this time I became nervous, afraid, doubtful and couldn't believe I began to have these feelings. When I have gay urges I feel like I am being controlled by another being. I don't welcome it because of my natural fear that i might be gay or bi. Recently I have had dreams where gay people are saying"how dare you brandon. do you know how lucky you are to live in your pool of luxury. You could have been a somolion, you could have been a solider who had his limb hacked off and sold at a meat cart." It got to me, I feel guilty due to my kind nature and feel hypocritical because i truly am not accepting of gays and think i may have been one all along. I just don't know if i could live with it. I wanted to marry a woman and have children but that seems impossible now. I am a firm believer in destiny and even this is hard for me, making matters worse the boy i had a crush on i most likely gonna ask me out and i have no idea what to do, give in an accept it or just say no.

Stupid question? Maybe . . . but, I'm in the 8th grade, and my teacher can barely talk without somebody cracking a stupid joke of some sort, and the rest of the idiots laughing along. They spit and bully kids who are suddenly inferior for the clothes, which are provided really for warmth, the hair, which, who gives, for the looks, the height, the weight, I mean, when will this stop? I can't write in my notebook in school when I have the free time, because I'm scared I'll get ridiculed 24/7 (stupid of me, as well as them) for my fantasy writing. I'm Jewish, and some 'hilarious' jackass asked if I had a picture of Hitler in my room (which makes no sense anyway) and if I had 'one of those weird hats' and why we have our own language that sounds apparently like pure gibberish. Two kids in my art class say certain words in English to a Chinese kid who just moved from China, and as they laugh, he takes it as a friendly gesture, and that they are saying friendly words, and laugh along. I mean, really? Laughing at a kid who barely knows English? I could give SO many examples, but I just want to know - these kids are 13-15, and couldn't handle seeing an Indian or Arab without making terrorist jokes. Is it because our way of disciplining has gotten so much weaker? It's just horrible, horrible that I can't walk down the hall without having some idiot want to fight me because he thinks he needs to prove something, some idiot that I barely know.

I am currently in college in South Carolina but their major of Studio Art is very broad. I love art and would like to do something more hands on that I can also benefit from by getting to an art/creative field. There is only one physical art school in our state that I know of. I was wondering if the Art Institute is a good/bad school. A friend of mine goes there and says it's a good school. I am planning on going back to school for web design/development but I am not sure what type of school is best. I live in western Washington and the two schools I have narrowed down so far are the Seattle Art Institute( which offers a BS in "Web Design and Interactive Media" and is more expensive but has more specific classes dealing with web design) or Western Washington University (which offers a general BS in Computer Science and is cheaper but probably isn't going to teach me a lot of web stuff). Anyhow my younger sister has always been a girly-girl nail polish,glitter and all.(Although she is know a zombie of media and mindlessly follows trends. My older sister has been girly and stylish but it's also relaxed,calm,and mature(not whorish lol). I think there's really no label for me so I am pretty sure it would be a shock to everyone because growing up, I was different from my sisters, not like most little girls I used to like blue,never really cared for princesses, didn't care for makeup or grown up things.I hated my mom's idea of me growing up and getting married and having kids. So considering I have no label(not that I want one)and have not grown up talking about girly things such as makeup it would be a shock to everyone. So recently I have been obsessed with the idea of makeup,and how artsy it is. I think for me it age is just a number because I want to use it as self expression-as art. Also I don't think it matters if I wear it because I can take criticism as long as it's something that makes me smile at the end of the day. I would only like to wear natural eyeshadow,primer,and maybe a small amount of eyeliner. I just think it would be embarrassing telling my mom because I am the person that will become in-direct and just drop the subject. Ideas?

What is with my guy friend?
He is 19 and I am 16 (we met at school last year) Since he goes to college a few states away, we email each other a lot. Whenever we see each other in person (even back when he went to my school), he always used to stare at me and he never talked unless I came up to him. He is an outgoing person and seems to only do this around me. We both love art/drawing, and we have a lot in common. When I said bye to him once, I gave him a hug, and he didn't seem nervous about hugging me or anything. Why does he act like this towards me?

Guys don't seem interested? But they are nice to me?
I am 16, I am 5'2" 100lbs, black, I love video games, art, rock music, I dress reserved, I am nice to everyone (including mean people), I am outgoing/quiet sometimes, and I am confident. When I talk to guys, they are nice/ look in my eyes when I speak, they seem interested in what I am saying and sometimes they say "Wow, I didn't know you liked (tv show/ music genre).The thing is that these dudes don't say anything EVER again unless I say something. I have a few guy friends who are just naturally chill people (like this guy who sits next to me in class). I have a guy friend who is always nervous and stares and he never talks to me (he's outgoing) unless I talk first. He does seem happy to talk to me/ we email each other a lot. A guy sang to me once, but he is just a nice guy in general. I have only been called cute once but by a guy friend. When I got a makeover, girls became nicer (they were mean), but guys stayed the same. Guys in my class basically will talk to every girl except me. I have seen guys in my school check me out but nothing happens. So what is up with these guys? Or me? It seems like I can only be an acquaintance to most of them. I'm always the first one to talk to them.Help me out

I would just take a big, deep breath. I would definitely give it a week or two. Give her some space to take a breather and to analyze things. All these troubles can put a great deal of stress on someone and it takes a little time to calm down. There's really not a lot you can do if she completely wants you out of her life. As a girl, I've said that MANY times to my boyfriend. Somehow, we always figure out how to work with it. Although we could just be a lucky couple. Some relationships are never able to reach their full potential and therefore can never work. If you're still feeling like you need to talk to her, try to talk to her. If she rejects you, atleast you can say you tried and there will be nothing more you can do. Unless, she comes back to you, begging for mercy. I know it's hard to move on and get over a love, but you gotta do what you gotta do. I wish you the best of luck!

I'm too lazy to check which quote Megan fox has, so this could be irrelevant, but I've always been partial to " all the world's a stage and the men and women only players". I just think it's an accurate depiction of society what with the individual's tendency to pit on performances/masks/facades/however you wish to refer to it in different situations. So much so that many people are no longer able to distinguish which of their personas is their real self. Not a Shakespeare quote, but a related one is "we all have so many faces tge real self often erases". However, I'm not sure of your personality so I don't know what kind of quote you would be interested in (serious, comical, etc).
